| Crippled Children. j A public meeting is shortly to be called in connection with the forma{tion of a local auxiliary of the Crippled Children’s Society. Silver Band at Kaitaia. The Whangarei Salvation Army Silver Band will visit Kaitaia this weekend, and will play in the main street between 7 and 8 o’clock tonight. A party of 16 left Whangarei this morning. They will commence their return journey on Sunday night. Trophies For Dogs. Displayed in Mr H. Menzies’ shop window in Bank Street are a series of cups for the dog show to be held in conjunction with the Whangarei Winter Show at the end of this month. The cup are numerous and handsome and would be a fine addition to any dog’s trophies. There is a fine cup for the dog gaining the most points in the show and also others for the various classes of dog.

The North Auckland Farmers' Coop., Ltd., are holding a clearing sale for Mr. J. Rowley, Hukerenui, on Monday next. The annual Rugby match was postponed as the old boys players were taking part in the regular competitions.
