PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

The mission at the Presbyterian Church was brought to a conclusion last evening, when 'the largest congregation of the series assembled. This was a very gratifying climax, the I number of hearers having increased steadily during the week. The church j was filled, and the service was of a particularly earnest and impressive | nature. During the evening the choir ; sang the anthem, “God So Loved The World” and Mrs Kitcatt sang a solo. The Rev. T. H. Rcseveare, who had made a deep mark on his hearers at every session, conducted the service in a most impressive nature. He summed up the addresses he had delivered during the week, and, using the confession of the Roman centurion as a text, he appealed to his hearers to make open confession of their faith. He emphasised the need for ; prayer, by which man was able to ! talk to His ’Saviour, pointing out that even in human relations two people could not understand one another unless they spoke to one another.

COMBINED SERVICE TONIGHT The Simultaneous Mission will be brought to a close this evening, when all the churches which have been holding meetings will hold a combined thanksgiving service in the Presbyterian Church at 7.30. Five choirs are to lead the singing, and three fnissiohers Will giVe brief addresses.
