ARBITRATION COURT
NO CHANGE IN CONSTITUTION [Special to “Nortnern Advocate " i WELLINGTON, This Day. While it is probable that a special court will be established to deal with workers’ compensation cases, there will be no change in the constitution of the existing Arbitration Court, the Minister of Labour, The Hon. H. T. Armstrong, said, on Saturday.
The members ,of the Court are Mr Justice Page, president, Mr W. Cecil Prime, employers’ assessor, and Mr A. L. Monteith, employees’ assessor. Arising from a statement made soon after the General Election by the Prime Minister, Mr Savage, to the effect that the Executive Commission of Agriculture would be disbanded, Mr Armstrong was asked whether Sir Francis Frazer, former Arbitration Court judge, and now deputy-chairman of the Executive Commission, was likely to be appointed judge of the proposed. new court to handle compensation cases.
The question, the Minister said, was one for Cabinet, which had not yet discussed it.
