NEW LBW. RULE
“The new l.b.w. rule has been a success,” said Mr W. Findlay, secretary of M.C.C., at the meeting of the firstclass county secretaries at Lords, during December, 1935. “Many who at the start opposed the Innovation admitted at the finish that their fears were groundless. It helped the bowler, and it will help him still more if he makes use of the bowling crease,” Here Mr Findlay referred to the increased width of the bowling crease from 6ft Sin to Bft Sin.
