ONERAHI NEWS
HOCKEY DANCE. The postponed dance given by the' members of the Onerahi Ladies’ Hockey Club on Saturday was, as usual, a very jolly affair. Visitors from Whangarei rolled up in force, and, with the local Contingent, the hall was comfortably filled. It was a joyous crowd. The music was supplied by radio-gramophone, and dancing went with a swing. Much interest was displayed in the winning of, the Spot Waltz, which Went to Miss Audrey Beasley and partner, amid cheers. A dainty supper was served, and it was midnight ’ere the fun ended. Mr W. Spratt was M.C. • PERSONAL. Mr and Mrs A. M. Fagan, of Te Fuke, and daughter, Miss Gladys Fagan, came through on Saturday for a short visit. They are the guests of the former’s brother and sister-in-law, Mr and Mrs A. S. Fagan, and a busy time is being spent looking up old friends. Mr R. K. Oxley, from the North, en route to Coromandel, paid a short visit to friends in Onerahi last week, and was the guest of his sister and brother-in-law, Mrs and Mr D. W. O. Fagan. He left again for his destination on Saturday.
