SERIOUS POSITION, SAYS HON.
ARMSTRONG

• Proposals for the alleviation of youth employment are at present under consideration, but are not yet ready for publication, the Minister of Labour, the Hon. H. T. Armstrong, informed a deputation from the Auckland Boys' Employment Committee. Mr Armstrong assured the deputation of the whole-hearted co-operation of s the Cabinet and said they would .utilise the service of the committees.
i “There is nothing more important I'than rescuing boys from themselves |at the impressionable age,” said the 'Minister. “I am one of those who i believe in keeping boys longer at •school, but we have to make it econ'omically possible for the parents to -do that.”
