FIRST RACE FOR SANDERSCUP. — Approaching the first buoy in Waitemata Harbour in the first 1936 race for the Sanders Cap trophy. It was here that the Auckland boat, Aileen, collided with the buoy and retired immediately. The race was won by Canterbury.
