Takahue. Diggers’ Valley. Herekino. Ahipara and Pukepoto, all of which places now have a daily delivery. Mr K. L. Williams, formerly sub mail contractor between Kaitaia and Herekino, has disposed of his right to carry passengers over this route to Mr Ryan, who owing to the impassable state of Diggers’ Valley road, has been arriving at Herekino too late for the service to be of any use to those who wished to ti’avel to Kaitaia and return the same day. Mr Ryan is continuing his goods service between Kaitaia and Mangonui. and it is the rights to this route which will be the chief matter in dispute before the Transport Authority.
