The “Sun-Herald understands that it is most improbable that a member of the Royal Family will visit the South Australian Centenary. Empire Broadcast? It is stated authoritatively that King Edward is considering broadcasting a message to the Empire after the funeral. Like his father, he has the clarity of voice and conciseness of expression so essential before the microphone. It would be natural for him thus to acknowledge the Efnpire’s messages. The Broadcasting Corporation announces that a service in memory will be broadcast on all transmitters, including Empire, on January 26, at 7.55 p.m.

Over 2,000,000 copies of a special form of church service are being printed for use*on the day of the funeral, or in the course of the following eight days. Meantime, the Archbishop of Canterbury hopes special prayers will be offered in all churches on Sunday, in commemoration of King George and asking that the guidance of Almighty God be given to King Edward. He says suitable prayers in order .would be the Burial of the Dead and the form of prayer used on the anniversary of the King’s accession. It is estimated that at least 2,000,000 mourners will form in queues, and file past the catafalque in Westminster Hall. The catafalque will be draped in purple on a stone floor, which, in'Order to ensure silence, will be carpeted with purple and grey.
