OBITUARY

MR PATRICK CRONIN. [Special to “Northern Advocate .” 3 MERCER. This Day. The death occurred yesterday of Mr Patrick Cronin, aged 57. Mr Cronin, who was the fifth son of the late Mr and Mrs Michael Cronin, early settlers at Mercer, was born on their farm on the Great South Road, about a mile north of the township. As a young man he was engaged in bush-felling in the Northern Wairoa with his brothers, several of whom settled in that district. After his marriage, which took place in Auckland, he resided at Paengaroa and Clevedon. Subsequently he returned to Mercer. Mr Cronin is survived by his wife, one son and two daughters.
