NORTHLAND AFFORESTATION

BIG CONFERENCE NEXT MONTH The North Auckland Sawmillers’ Association has promoted a conference of representatives of all the local bodies of North Auckland and many other societies, for the purpose of forming a North Auckland Conservation and Afforestation Society. .It has been decided to hold this conference in the Whangarei Town Hall on February 6. The provisional committee entrusted with the arrangements at the conference, on Monday night asked the Borough Council for the use’ of the hall on that day at a special consideration, in view of the fact that the movement is entirely in the public interest and for the development of a most important work in the North. It was decided to give free use of the building.
