NEW ZEALAND MEETING POST-SECTION PLAY YESTERDAY’S RESULTS. [Per Press Association. — Copyright.l CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. After the concluding two rounds in post-sectional play in the pairs championship at the New Zealand bowling tournament had been completed yesterday morning. 59 pairs were eligible for post-section play, of which two rounds were played in the afternoon. In the running of the pairs competition the number of wins which a pair gained to win or tie in its section were not counted. In the post-section play, which was on the sudden death system, the number is now reduced to 15.

The pairs still left in are those skipped by Fergusson (Balmacewan), Harris (Temuka). Law (N.S.W.), Beer (Napier), Morris (N.S.W.), Howar (Canterbury), Brass (St. Albans), Lawrie (Island Bay). McNish (Canterbury), Whittle (Grey Lynn), Wilson (Linwood), E. A. Smith and Hutchison.

Last year’s champion side, Grey Lynn, is defending the title

with H. Whittle as skip, but with J. Higginson as third, in place of Liversidge. Linwood. 1934 winners at Dunedin, when the rink comprised G. Dickson, F, Redpath, H. F. Gibson and H. Wilson (skip), is again contesting the, title, with one change. S. Snedden replacing Gibson. The latter is now a resident of Auckland, and is skipping a Balmoral rink. Wilson and Snedden are also among the surviving pairs players.
