FIRST DAY’S RESULTS [Per Press Association.—Copyright.] GREYMOUTH, This Day. The Reefton Jockpy Club’s summer meeting opened yesterday in fine weather. The course was in good order, and there was a large attendance. The tctalisator handled £4993. as against £4299 10/ last year. Results: —

Trial Handicap, of 65 sovs; one mile. (2) Zetes, 8.7 (Decide), 1; (3) Free Rose, 9.6, 2; (1) Nocturnus, 3.8, 3. Gasmask and Convivial were -scratched. Two lengths; neck. Time —1.42 2-5. Highweight Handicap, of 75 sovs; seven furlongs.—(l) Cottingham, 9.6 (Hughes), 1; (7) Gold Arrow, 8.0, 2; (5) Wee Musk, 8.0, 3. Quebec was scratched. Won by two lengths; one length. Time —1.28 4-5. Dunstan Trot, of 75 sovs; one mile and a quarter.—(s) Alice d’Oro, 24yds, 1; (1) Link Light, 24yds, 2; (3) Lady Nan, 36yds, 3. Also started: Bandit, Dusky Chum, Nancy d’Oro High Noon. Two lengths; Half a length. Time —2.51 2-5.

Reefton Handicap, of 105 sovs; one mile and a quarter.—(s) Rona Bay, 7.12, 1; (2) McHeath, 9.5, 2; (6) Locksley, 7.8, 3. Five others started. Won by three lengths; one length. Time. 2.7.

Members’ Handicap, of 70 sovs; five furlongs.— (1) Cheap Money, 8.6, 1; (5) Arrow Rose, 9.2, 2; 2) Copyist, 9.8, 3. Six others started. Arrow Rose finished first by a neck, but an inquiry was held and the first and second positions were reversed. Cheap Money being placed first and Arrow Rose second. Time, 60 4-ss. Maruia Handicap, of 70 sovs; six and a half furlongs.—(2) Zest. 8.7 (4) Princess Rawene, 7.11, 2; (6) Gasmask, 7.7, 3. Four others started. Won by half a length; a length. Time, 1.22 2-5. Soldiers’ Trot, of 70 sovs; one mile and a half.—(3) Cantata, scr, 1; (2) Lady Ann, scr, 2; (5) Parallax, 7.12, 3, Six others started.- Won by three lengths; six lengths. Time, 2.29 3-5.
