The weather is fine and there is a good attendance for the opening day of the Reefton Jockey Club’s summer meeting. The track is in good order. Results: Trial Handicap, of 65 sovs; one mile. —(2) Zetes, 8.7 (Leckie), 1; (3) Free Rose, 9.6, 2; (1) Nocturnus, 8.8, 3. Gasmask arid Convivial were -scratched. Two lengths; neck. Time —1.42 2-5. Highweight Handicap, of 75 sovs; seven furlongs.—(l) Cottmghaih, 9.6 (Hughes), 1; (7) Gold Arrow, 8.0, 2; (5) Wee Musk, 8.0, 3. Quebec was scratched. Won by two lengths; one length. Time —1.28 4-5. i Junction Trot, of 75 sovs; one mile and a quarter,—(s) Alice d’Oro, 24yds, 1; (1) Link Light, 24yds, 2; (3) Lady Nan, 36yds, 3. Also started: Bandit, Dusky Chum, Nancy d’Oro High Noon. Two lengths; half a length. Time—2.sl 2-5.
