NATIVE TROOPS MUTINY

ROME ADMITS LIBYA OUTBREAK (Received 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, 'January 2. A Rome message says it is officially admitted that a mutiny occurred in Libya, where native troops murdered an officer. A Government spokesman said it was a normal, unimportant case of insubordination. A communique issued in Addis Ababa claims that Italian outposts are withdrawing from areas south of Makale, where they face the threat of Ras Mulugatta’s forces, but a Rome message says there is nothing worth while to report from the front. The Abyssinians also claim to have brought down an Italian plane. The crew of four were incinerated.
