MANGONUI CRICKET
VALLEY v. TAKAHUE. The Takahue cricket team visited Victoria Valley on Saturday last, and were defeated by one of the local teams. Batting first, Valley were dismissed for the meagre total of 64, but Takahue fared even worse and compiled only 39. In their second venture, both teams played fast cricket, the Valley declaring -with 140 for 6 wickets. Requiring 166 runs, and with an hour to play, Takahue scored 125 for the loss of 5 wickets. J.
