WAKELIN’S REPORT Walter Wakelin reports holding sales at Parua Bay, Whakapara and Kamo during the week. Good yardings came forward and satisfactory sales resulted, although prices showed an easing tendency. A heavy yarding of pigs came forward to the Kamo sale on Wednesday. Fat pigs were in large supply and sold at fully export rates, while stores and weaners were much easier. Parua Bay sale:—Fat cows, £2 10/ to £3 19/; store cows, £25/ to £2 15/; boner cows, £1 to £1 10/; 2-year Shorthorn heifers, to £3 3/; yearling Shorthorn steers, to £3; cows and calves, to £3; dairy cows and heifers, £2 to £3 12/6. Whakapara sale:—Fat pows, to £4; fat steers, to £8"15/; store" cows, to £3; cows and calves, £2 5/ to £4; boner cows, £1 5/ to £1 15/; dairy cows and heifers, to £3 10/; Jersey bulls, £2 to £2 15/.
