AMERICAN BALLOONISTS’ RECORD.

(Received 9.30 a.m.) WASHINGTON, November 22. The National Aeronautic Association yesterday announced that instruments in the balloon Explorer revealed that Captains Stevens and Anderson, on their stratosphere flight on November 11, established a world’s altitude record of 72,395 feet. The Federation Aeronautique Internationale, Paris, will be asked to grant an international certificate on this figure.
