NOT GOING AWAY

SIR ALEXANDER HERDMAN ENGLISH TRIP DENIAL. LSpecial to “Northern Advocate .” 3 AUCKLAND, This Day. Before he commenced to deliver his political address, which again included a scathing criticism of Government policy, Sir Alexander Herdman, Independent candidate for Parnell, at a largely* attended meeting there last night denied rumours which he said had been circulated concerning him. He said that a statement had been made that he did not intend going to the poll, and that he had bcjoked his passage to England next year. “That is definitely untrue,” he said. “I am aware of the identity of the gentleman in this electorate who made this statement, and if he does not desist I will denounce him from the platform.” A vote of confidence, coupled with a wish that he would be successful in the coming election was accorded Sir Alexander.
