WAIMATE NORTH

A very charming farewell afternoon was tendered to Mrs W. Boswell (who is leaving the North to take up residence in the Waikato district) by the members of the Waimate ’North Golf Club last Saturday afternoon. A presentation on behalf of the members was made by Mrs Gladys Samson (president), on whose property the links are situated. The presentation took the form of a silver sandwich salver, and a delightful bouquet was presented on behalf of the lady members by Mrs S. F. Mountain. A medal round was played, and Mrs K. Pearson was successful in returning the best card. The colour scheme for the table decorations for afternoon tea was delightful to the eye, masses of wistaria and Iceland popfpies ’being used.

Mrs Boswell made herself very popular during her stay in Waimate Noi’th, and .she will be greatly missed.
