KAITAIA DISPLAY

PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH SOCIETY. The Kaitaia Presbyterian Daffodil Society held their annual show in the Church Hall, Kaitaia. on Saturday, and' the success .was well merited by the hard-working committee. For the first time the show was extended into, the evening, and the attendance right through was good. The .main classes were well filled, and the exhibits, being tastefully staged, made a remarkably fine display. The daffodils were the outstanding feature, but the freezies, cineraria and stocks, with their beautiful colours, contributed largely to the general effect. The open classes and pot plants were judged by the Rev. W. H. Nicholas; the amateur section by Mesdames J- Garton and Walton, and the vegetables by Mr J. Garton. A produce stall was in charge, of Mrs Watson, and a sweets, and cakes stall was under the care of Mrs W. Parker. A, band of ladies served luncheon and afternoon tea.
