CYCLING RECORDS SMASHED. (Received 11 a.m.) • LONDON, September 25. Hubert Opperman, the Australian cyclist, in a sensational ride, lopped exactly an hour off F. W.- Southall’s 291 f miles Land’s End to London record, his time being 14 hours 8 minutes. He then continued to Norfolk, - and established a 24-hour, record for 466 miles, compared- with Southall’s 454. >
