MR COATES RETURNS. MINISTER CHEERED. LOOKS FIT AND WELL. I Special to “Northern Advocate."} WELLINGTON, Tiffs Day. The Maunganui, carrying the Minister for Finance, the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates, and Mrs Coates, arrived here ht 5.30 p.m. yesterday. Mr Coates, Who looks fit and well, landed in the presence of a large crowd. Mr and Mrs Coates were cheex-ed as they left the vessel. The official p.u-ty led by the acting Prime Minister, Sir Alfred Ransom, and including the members of Mr and Mrs Coates' family, met the vessel off Point Halswell in the steamer Janie Seddon. A fresh wind was blowing, but all members of the party negotiated the climb up the ship’s side successfully. Mr and Mrs Coates met them at the gangway.
