PALMER BEATS KELLY
(Received 9.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day,
Ambrose Palmer, 12.5, beat the American negro, Leo “Kelly, 12.5, on points at the Leichardit Stadium last night, after a 15 round boxing bout. Palmer won well by his superior ringcraft, but he received very severe punishment. An eye was cut, and a rib is reported to be broken.
