POST OFFICE PUBLICITY
BRITISH APPOINTMENT. [British Official Wireless.! (Received 10 a.m.) RUGBY, August 13. The policy of active publicity, which has been a feature of the Post Office work in recent years and which was marked by the appointment of a public relations officer in 193J>, is to be pursued. Sir Stephen Tallents was the first public relations officer. Recently he accepted an appointment as controller of public relations to the 8.8. C., which takes effect in October, and Lieut.-Col. E. T. Crutchley, at present representative in Australia of the British Government, will succeed him.
