We also offered 80 dairy cattle at this sale, and practically all changed hands at slightly improved prices. Quotations: —Good breeding sows, £4 to £5; medium sows, £2 15/ to £3 15/; heavy porkers, £2 4/ to £2 10/; medium porkers, £1 13/ to £1 18/; light and unfinished porkers, £1 \ 11/ to £1 14/; large stores, £1 7/ to £1 13/; medium stores, £1 3/ to £1 7/; good slips, £1 to £1 4/; medium slips, 17/ to £1 1/; best weaners, 18/ to £1 2/; medium weaners, 15/ to 17/9; i small and inferior weaners, 11/6 to 15/. ! Dairy cattle.—Best Jersey cows, £3 10/ to £4 10/; medium Jersey cows and heifers, £3 to £3 10/; backward and inferior springers, 15/ to £2; j Shorthorn cows, £2 5/ to £3. |
