CONSIDERABLE REPAIRS NEEDED. f Special to “Northern Advocate.”! THAMES, This Day. At the Thames County Council meeting yesterday, the supervisor, Mr J. H. Adams, reported that the flooding on July 21 had caused a washout of the culvert at Omahu. Streams had overflowed the main highways at Kirikiri, Puriri and Green’s' Creek, and it had been necessary to make considerable repairs. A good deal of maintenance work had been necessary on the coast road, where two sets of slips had occurred, aijid these had not been completely cleared. On the Matatoki road, flooding ; had broken thd‘ stopbanks in two places, and the road was silted up to 15 inches in the Tairua riding. A bridge between Whangamata Junction and- the store was put back into position twice after it had been lifted off by floods. .
