OXFORD GROUP MOVEMENT, [Per, Press Association.—Copyright.] WELLINGTON, This Day. “House party religion,” a phrase coined to describe one method adopt r ed by the Oxford Group Movement for . life changing in accordance with Christian principles, is coming to Wellington, A National House Party is to take place at the Midland Hotel, beginning on August 28 and continuing until September 2. Although small parties have already been held (elsewhere in the Dominion, this will be the first one of its kind on a large scale here. The power behind the organisation of tlie Oxford Group Movement in New Zealand is a Cambridge student the Hon. Miles Phillimore, son of Lord Phillimore, of Henley-on-Thames. This young man has dedicated his life to the work and New Zealand is his chosen sphere. The house party will be attended, it is expected, by about. 200 people. ‘lt is not a public party, each guest having been privately invited to be present, v said Mr Phillimore. “Many professions will be represented, and people will be coming from nearly all paids of the Dominion. A party atmosphere will be provided by the association of the guests at an hotel. We have booked a conference hall for the more formal aspect of the party.”
