NORTHERN BASKETBALL
Playing basketball at Pukepoto on Saturday, with Mr Fred Job as referee, the Kaitaia High School was defeated by Pukepoto, 9 —B. At Kaitaia, Awamri A defeated Kaitaia A, 10—8. Miss M. Urlich was referee. Ahipara, on- the same court, beat Awanui B by 19 —9. BROADWOOD CLUB. A basketball Club has recently been formed in Broadwood. A practice is held each Thursday afternoon, and a match takes place on Saturday. Two teams from Kohukohu visited Broadwood at the week-end. Kohukohu beat Broadwood- A by 14 goals to 4. Miss E. Hawke refereed. Kohukohu Bible Class beat Broadwood B. Rev. C. H. Bell refereed. The visitors were entertained at afternoon tea in the school room.
