BASKETBALL REPS
WHANGAREI RURAL TEAM. TO MEET CONVENT. The following basketball team, representing the rural districts, will play the Convent team, winners of the town intermediate competition, at the Whangarei School on Saturday at 1.30 p.m. Evelyn Johnston (Maunu), Eileen Irving (Ruapekapeka), May Girvin (Ruapekapeka), Doreen Girvin (Ruapekapeka), Doris Yearbury (Glenbervie), Phyllis Going (Maromaku), Annie Pitman (Portland), Peggy Ballagh (Onerahi), Lorna Hay (Marpmaku). Emergencies: June Leese (Portland). Rene Johnson (Onerahi). Lois Going (Maromaku). Mr Stretton (Ruapekapeka) has been appointed manager.
