SURGERY OF THE CHEST, [Per Press Association. — tjovyright.l WELLINGTON, This Day. Dr Ewen, formerly medical superintendent of the Wellington Hospital, returned today from post-graduate study in Britain. He said there had been recently a striking development in surgery of the chest for diseases of the lung, such as tuberculosis, but it was only of value in certain selected cases. Regarding diabetes, Dr Ewen said very good results had been obtained from insulin, plus a more liberal diet than was allowed when insulin was first discovered.
