In the cricket match at Cheltenham, the South Africans, who had lost four wickets for 144 on Saturday, finished the innings with a 10 runs lead on Gloucestershire. The county made 290 in their second venture, leaving South Africa to make exactly the number of runs scored in their first innings (289) for victory.
