There was a small yarding of beef and boner cattle.” Good quality forward cows, £3 10/ to £4; forward Jersey heifers, £2 12/6 to £3 2/6; September calvers, £2 15/ to. £3 7/6; backward and inferior 'sorts, 20/ to 25/; prime heifer beef, £3 jto £3 2/6; cows and runners, 37/6; I boner cows, 10/ to 24/; boner bulls, i £2 2/6 to £3; pigs, slips, 19/6 to 22/; • stores, 24/ to 28/. ! Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual monthly sale at Maungakaramea. The supply of cattle, which was average, consisted of all classes and competition was good. Values:—Springing cows, inferior sorts, £1 10/ to £1 17/6; better sorts, £2 5/ to £4 2/6; boner cows, 18/ to 25/; heifer calves, 15/ to 29/; pigs, young boars, 21/ to 35/; weaners, 10/6 to 18/6; stores, 20/ to 26/.
