GLOUCESTER MATCH SINFIELD’S FLAWLESS 102. VILJOEN GOING WELL. (Received 9 a.m.) LONDON, August 10. The South African cricketers today began a match against Gloucester. Batting first, the county scored 279, of which Sinfield contributed 102, in a faultless innings, which lasted three hours. With Neale (who made 61), Sinfield added 102 in 70 minutes. The visitors in the first innings had made 144 for 4 wickets when stumps were drawn. The inclusion of Balaskas and Siedle in the South African team indicates that they are recovering from their injuries and will be in readiness for the final test next Saturday.
