CHILD KEPT ALIVE 13 DAYS. (Received 10.30 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. After 13 days’ treatment in an artiV ficial respirator, Ruby Currie, aged 6, is expected to leave the machine in " the next day or two. The struggle to save the child’s life has held the interest of the medical profession and the general public for nearly a fortnight. Doctors state that this case is the only one on record where such a disease, dyphtheria and paralysis of the diaphram, has been successfully cured by this method.
