Mr Rushworth, member for the Bay . of Islands, arrived at Kaitaia today , and is to meet bis supporters this | evening. j Mr E. H. Severne. who has been a I member of the staff of the Nelson Collegt for 18 years, has resigned. Mr C. B. Beatson has been appointed to fill the vacancy. Dr E. T. Dawson, of Paparoa, was today appointed to the position of assistant medical superintendent at the Whangarei Hospital, in place of Dr M. Wells, who has resigned. Dr Dawson has been in charge of the Kaipara Hospital Board’s Paparoa Hospital. There were nine applicants for the position. A motion of sympathy with the relatives of the late Mr W. H. Gillespie was carried at the meeting of the Whangarei Hospital Board this morning “He was a good friend to the hospital, and it is going to be a most difficult task to replace him,” said the chairman, Mr J.
