PLUNKET SOCIETY. At the annual meeting of the local branch of the Plunket Society, the following officers and committee were elected for the ensuing year: President. Mrs E. O’Carroll: vice-presidents, Mesdames D. H. Walker and J. T. Walker; secretary, Mrs J. Norris; committee, Mesdames K. Woodcock, F. Litt, G. Winnard, H. Walker, and L. Goodenough. It was decided to hold a children’s fancy dress ball towards the end of September. A “bring and buy” stall was a feature of the afternoon, and afternoon tea also figured on the programme.
