MR J. G. GIVEN’S SALE
SUNDRIES KEENLY SOUGHT.
The North Auckland Farmers’ Coop., Ltd., report having held a clearing sale on account of Mr Graham Given at Maungatapere on Saturday. The dispersal Ijad been postponed previously because of adverse weather conditions. The attendance was fair and the sale was far better than anticipated. Sundries sold particularly well, in some cases exceeding retail rates. Implements were in keen demand, whilst all other classes, with the exception of perhaps yearling heifers, went out at exceptional values. Some of the prices were as follows: Pedigree Tamworth sows with litter, Bgns, 21gns, and 26gns; young pedigree Tamworth boars, 2£gns to 3gns; young pedigree Tamworth sows, IJgns to 3gns; store pigs and slips, 22/ to 26/; milking cows, £8; yearling Jersey heifers, 31/ to 35/; medium di’aught horses, £39, £4O, £42 and £46; stock pony, £8; fowls, 5/; turkeys. 8/.
