Messrs Alfred Buckland and Sons, Ltd., state that there was an exceptionally keen demand for all working horses at the fortnightly sale held here yesterday. The yarding was small dnd a general clearance was effected. Young, active, medium draughts sold from £.32 to £3B; lighter farm horses, £2O to £27 10/; light harness horses and hacks, .£7 to £l6, aged draughts, to £22.
