MOTOR RAIL CARS TO BE USED

For the purpose of giving a faster railway passenger service between the Hutt Valley, and Wellington, the Railway Board proposes to introduce motor rail cars to that line, according to Mr W. H. Field, M.P. Mr Field said he understood thqt the cars would also cross the Rimutakas, and possibly run right through the Wairarapa. These cars would be able to reduce the time spent in travelling; as they would accelerate faster than the ordinary train.
