LAST OF JUBILEE SEASON
TWELVE THOUSAND GUESTS,
(Received 12.30 p.m.) LONDON. July 25
The Jubilee season ended with another Royal garden party at Buckingham Palace, at which 12,000 present created a record. Their Majesties, on arriving on the lawn, were met by many Royalties. They kissed Princess Elizabeth, who curtsied to her grandparents. The King and Queen moved freely among the guests. The heat in the afternoon was responsible for innovations, many women wearing glare glasses, while numerous guests brought shooting sticks on which to sit.
