The brothers Ernest and Reginald Whitcombe, with aggregates of 292, tied for the Irish open golf championship at Newcastle, County Down. The replay will take place on July 26 over 36 helps.

Kenyon, winner of the 1931 and 1933 championships, was second, with 293. He led by three strokes at the end of the third round, and turned' in' the fourth round in 36. He needed 38 to win coming home, but crumpled up and took 40.
