OBITUARY
MR. CAMERON JOHNSON The death occurred 1 at his residence, Cambridge, of Mr. Cameron Johnson, aged 68 years. Mr. Johnson was known throughout New Zealand,as an artist, and resided in Cambridge for several years. 111-health prevented him from carrying out his work in Cambridge. The late Mr. Johnson was born in England, and came to New Zealand at the age of 12 years., He was a student at the Melbourne National Gallery at the same time as Sir John Longstaff and McGubbin. He is survived by Mrs. Johnson, who is also an artist of wide reputation, one daughter (Miss Grace Cameron Johnson, a well-known violinist), and one son. fttRS CATHERINE CALLAGHAN. f Special to "Nortnern Advocate ”1 WAIHI, This Day. The death has occurred, after a lengthy illenss, of an old resident of Waihi, Mrs Catherine T. Callaghan, wife of Mr J. J. Callaghan, a member of the Waihi Borough Council. LADY EDWARDS. An old resident of Wellington, Lady Edwards, widow of the late Sir Walter Bassett Edwards, Judge of the Supreme Coui't of New Zealand, died at her residence last Sunday. She was formerly Miss Mary Ann Sayers, and except for some years in Dunedin, she spent all her life in Wellington. Requiem Mass was celebrated at St. Mary of the Angels Church on Tuesday. The interment was private.
