A popular agrarian rising has forced the Governor of the State of Tabasco, Signor Manuel Lastra, out of office, and threatens the position of Div Rafael Villareal, Governor of Tamaulipas. The rising is regarded as a general cleaning out of the governors to rid the country of the last traces of the power of General Calles, who was Mexicb’s “strong man” for eight years until be lost the political fight with the President, General Cardenas, a month ago.
