ANNUAL meeting

The financial position of the North Auckland Regimental and the Dargaj ville Town Band was reviewed at the j annual meeting on Tuesday night. It was decided to endeavour to obtain an increase on the Borough Coun- j oil’s present subsidy of £ 10 a year, and also to ask for the provision of seating accommodation in the band rotunda reserve. Officers were elected as follows; Patron, Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates; president. Mr L. Lawrence: secretary, Mr D. O. Rush; treasurer, Mr H. S. Johnson; bandmaster, Mr L. F. Houghton; deputy-bandmaster, Mr R. J. Cassidy; band sergeant, Mr S. Ford; drummajor, Mr M. Barnard.
It was decided to join up with the North Island Brass Band Association.
