Balaskas Scores Heavily. A good story about X. Balaskas, the Greek-South African cricketer and pupil of Grimmett, is going the rounds. Partnered by Vincent, Balaskas made his top score of the tour against Northampton. Balaskas drove a boundary, which Vincent considered a risky shot, so he walked up the pitch and told Balaskas so. The googly bowler evidently took the warning to heart. A little later, he hit another fine four and Vincent walked up to congratulate him. Balaskas walked half-way to meet him and said anxiously. "All right. I won’t do that again,"
