WAIPAPAKAURI AERODROME

A start has been made with the formation of an aerodrome at Waipapakauri. The work is in charge of Mr Harold Thompson, Public Works engineer, and about a dozen men have so far been engaged. Attention is firstly being given to drainage and the exclusion from the area of any water outside its own watershed. All obstructions in the nature of buildings, hedges or trees are being removed. Ploughing and levelling will commence shortly.
