POPULAR POLICE SERGEANT
PRESENTATION MADE
(Special to “Northern Advocate .” 3 DARGAVILLE, This Day.
At the Magistrate’s Court yesterday, representatives of the justices of peace, the bar - and the press gathered to farewell Sergeant C. C. Dunford, who is being transferred next week to Devonport. Speakers included the magistrate. Mr. Morris; Mr. F. S. Gculding, senior member of the bar; Mr. C. S. Rush, “North Auckland Times.” and Mr. T. Morgan, clerk of the court.
Appreciation was expressed of the uniform tact, courtesy and fairness which has been a feature of the sergeant's administration. On behalf of the members of the bar. court officials and bench. Mr. Goulding presented the sergeant with a pipe and pouch as a token of esteem.
