STAGGERING SUM
U.S.A. FEDERAL DEBT. 29 BILLION DOLLARS. • (Received 9.30 a.m.) WASHINGTON, July 17. The Treasury announces that the Federal debt now exceeds 29 billion dollars. This is the greatest figure in the history of the country, and represents an increase of 2 billion dollars in one year.
