MISHAP IN CINEMA. DAMAGES CLAIM FAILS. [Per Press Association.- — Copyright .3 CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. A claim for £1460 17s 6d, brought by J-ames Sydney Green, against Christchurch Cinemas, Ltd., as damages for injuries received when he fell down some steps at St. James’ Theatre, was determined in the Supreme Court yesterday by Mr Justice Northcroft. Judgment was given for defendants with costs. The Judge said that plaintiff’s fall had not been caused by the steepness of the steps. He passed through a door into a dark lavatory, assuming that he was on a flat floor. The lights had been tampered with, and the evidence was that they had been satisfactory before they were damaged. His Honour held that plaintiff’s accident was caused by his own i negligence. j }
